Westside School

Westside School addresses the educational and therapeutic needs of students, in addition to providing consulting services to schools. Educationally, the curriculum used at Westside School is aligned with the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards (CCGPS) and Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). Students are provided academic instruction that addresses their areas of academic needs and goals outlined in their IEPs. Therapeutic needs of students are addressed through Developmental Therapy-Teaching, encompassing an assessment of student behavior, communication, social, and cognitive development. The deficits/delays are identified and an individualized intervention program is designed, and progress is systematically and continually monitored. The student is returned to his/her home school when exit criteria created by the IEP committee is met.
